About Colesburg, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
In the state of Kentucky, the little village of Colesburg is an unincorporated community that lies in Hardin County. The town falls in the Elizabethtown metropolitan area and is home to the Saint Clare Catholic Church. The area of Colesburg lies in the Pennyroyal region, which has distinct features such as hills, caves and its topography is generally described as karst, which is adequate for farming.
The area of the community that is now known as Colesburg was settled at least by 1800 and was named after the founder of the village, William Cole. The little town was established around 1854 when the Louisville and Nashville railroad would pass through Clear Creek Valley and locomotives would be stationed in a building that was near the base of Muldraugh Hill. The crew members that would board them had formed the community known as Colesburg. The town was first called Robertsonville where a post office was established in 1856, but the name was later changed to Colesburg in honor of the founder.
